NIH funding opportunity for organic chemists

Categories: News

The NIH has just issued four RFAs to support research, including chemical research, relevant to glycobiology. The overall program is called the NIH Common Fund Effort in the Glycosciences, and information can be found here: http://commonfund.nih.gov/Glycoscience/index. Grants will be funded from the Common Fund administered by the NIH Office of the Director. There are four RFAs that were issued on September 30;  they are linked below.  Of particular interest to Organic Division members may be RFA-RM-14-015, “Facile Methods and Technologies for Synthesis of Biomedically Relevant Carbohydrates.”  Note that the application deadline for the 2015 fiscal year is Dec. 10, 2014. The RFA is expected, however, to be reissued for future years.
